…anyone willing to sit in on the discussion–ya know, just for the pure pursuit of knowledge for the sake of knowledge and not for some credit — anyone in the mood for that may come into “my” classroom, sit down, contribute — feel free to just listen or to play along. The more the merrier the conversation, I think. The more the better the after party, I’m sure.
So, standing room only. Calling all colleagues. The door is wide open. Bring a beach chair, if you want to. I don’t care. Whatever. I just want a good conversation. I want intense discussions with tons of disagreements and heated arguments. I want my students to experience the joy intellectual discourse — the collaborative art of talking about something important, with an eye toward a mutual improved understanding of — whatever.
Please help me. I can’t do this alone.
