Charles Bivona420 Ramblings French Fries, Yahoo!
Every time I visit the Yahoo! homepage, I click on the first article to catch my eye. Today, it was “America’s Worst French Fries” by David Zinczenko, with Matt Goulding a Yahoo! Health Expert for Nutrition.
The article is your basic “how to more safely eat poison” piece. It opens with a declaration. “French fries are practically an American birthright.” And that’s ridiculous, should be the next point. It’s not a birthright to eat fries, or anything close to a birthright. It’s a really bad habit.
French fries consist of deep fried starch and salt. They are “empty calories,” the article acknowledges. So, shouldn’t the Yahoo! Health Expert for Nutrition tell us to stop eating them all together?
…just sayin’

Do you know what is unique about Walt Whitman? He is the most photographed poet in history—as far as I know.
He was fascinated by the new technology. In his lifetime, he had hundreds of photographs taken of himself. They are all archived and publicly available. I thought about this when I saw this video on YouTube.

This mean we could soon see a video book of Whitman’s poetry, using photographs from the year he wrote each poem. As a Whitman scholar, that would amaze me. It could also lead to a new genre of video books.
Imagine a DVD of Charles Dickens, sitting by a fire, reading Great Expectations.

I don’t know. I think it would be cool.
