Video Books, maybe?

Do you know what is unique about Walt Whitman? He is the most photographed poet in history—as far as I know.
He was fascinated by the new technology. In his lifetime, he had hundreds of photographs taken of himself. They are all archived and publicly available. I thought about this when I saw this video on YouTube.

This mean we could soon see a video book of Whitman’s poetry, using photographs from the year he wrote each poem. As a Whitman scholar, that would amaze me. It could also lead to a new genre of video books.
Imagine a DVD of Charles Dickens, sitting by a fire, reading Great Expectations.

I don’t know. I think it would be cool.
